season premire

Did anyone watch the season premire??? and if so do you think they jumped the shark with them putting Ally's funreal JIN THE FIRST EPISODE WHAT THE HELL WHERE THEY THINKING?????????????????

It's also weird that is was just over the period of a year, instead of happening in 7th grade..

I know, everything seems really rushed, and the girls still seem like they're pretty close.
Not how I hoped it would be at all.

I felt that way too. They skipped a lot of the "first A" from the first book. They basically just each got one text / message and for some reason I feel like there was more than that.

They didnt even introduce us to the charcters that are VERY important to the plot -toby-

Yeah, and they didn't /really/ introduce Jenna either for that matter. That's the problem of having an hour long episode cover THAT much of the plot.. Disappointing.

they WOULD be able to introduce them if they didnt have so many commercials

i hope it's not like that every week, it was more commercial than program, my DVR is gonna b full of more commercial than show time.

I expected a little more from the pilot, but it was ok. I hope "The Jenna Thing" will be better.

Yeah, for the first few books it was kind of crucial stuff. That's part of how A could hold stuff over them. That and all of their other little secrets. I think they will introduce it in the next episode, because they did show her as blind at the funeral I believe but in one of the flash backs she wasn't blind. So I'm guessing they'll kind of bring that up soon. I have a feeling that it isn't going to stay strict and true to the book, but hopefully it is at least entertaining..

They should've had someone do a Voice Over for A and ended the epi with what A said at the end of the first book! And made it more slick, basically. I didn't mind the fact that they covered one whole book in an epi. Gossip Girl did the same thing with their Pilot but it ended up getting spaced out and the rest of the season was better! But yeah =/

True, but Gossip Girl changed a lot around too. & I agree with that A should open/close kind of like Gossip Girl does on Gossip Girl !

PLL seems to be changing stuff, too.
Did anyone notice that they gave Jenna a different last name for some reason?
And instead of hitting her in the eyes with a firework they seem to have blown up a garage while she was inside. Rrrrr.

Also, why are they all still such good friends? Hanna and Mona are supposedly best friends, but Hanna and the other girls eat lunch together and hang out outside of school.
