SPOILERS: DO NOT READ IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS.

So, I got Wanted yesterday for a special occasion and I read all the way through it today. And, oh. my. god. SO MANY TWISTS. I don't know how long it will take for people to read this, but I fairly warned you before you opened this, so don't be mad if I spoiled it for you before you got to read it.




I just had to write this down and talk about it so here it is:
Ali has a twin. Her name is Courtney. She's has mental problems, and she was the one in Radley. Jason had been visiting her there. The weekend where the four go to her backyard to steal the flag (which has been mentioned many times) Ali was in her room. Courtney, has an obsession with wanting to be Ali, like have her 'flawless' life and what not. The ring on the dead body belonged to Alison BUT Courtney had stolen it. That weekend Courtney was switching hospitals. That's where The Reserve comes in. When Alison was inside, Courtney had snuck out. But as Courtney was outside talking to the others, Ali was inside trying to convince her parents that she was, in fact, Ali. Considering Courtney's issues, her parents didn't believe her, and ALISON was the one they took to the reserve. The next weekend she came back home was the end of seventh grade sleepover. She had been so mad about being sent off and her sister taking over her life and she wanted revenge. Alison was the second blonde that Spencer saw. The DNA results were right when they came back, because twins have the exact same DNA. And that's why they all thought it was Alison.

So basically Ali is ALIVE right? The whole thing with her and Courtney sound SO messed up! I feel like the whole DiLaurentis family are messed up, it was revealed that Courtney had mental problems but what about Ali, she KILLED Courtney, Ian and Jenna. I'm wondering about the Ian kill though, wasn't she as herself the one who had a relationship with Ian or was that Courtney pretending to be Ali? Was Courtney always at reservations or mental institutes? Or else how the hell did the DiLaurentis' manage to hide the fact that their IDENTICAL twins! So Ali is the new A okay great but when Aria and liars later see Ali in Killer wouldn't she at LEAST recognize them? I'm sure they've met because the switch between Courtney and Ali was so anew. Even more what is Wilden's deal with trying to hide/distinguish the fact that Ali was the killer and B) try and kill her himself by setting the fire in the forest around Spencer's house. On that note Ali and both Courtney were/are Spencer's half sisters aren't they? So the father knew and never told his DAUGHTER who had to go through the whole tragic thing? That is so WRONG and Melissa for knowing things all along and not at least help to uncover the truth with the others? So SHADY! Ali sounds like an absolute freak I mean don't get me wrong she should be allowed to feel SOME resentment for Courtney taking over her life but KILLING her is way out of the league, Ali was also the one who was IMING from Ian's account and probably was behind a lot of things such a mastermind we should have expected it all much sooner given how tough and menacing they speak of her. Well if you or anyone could clear some of this stuff up with your theories or answers it'd be much appreciated given I haven't finish Heartless or even begun to read Wanted as it's not in my possession as of yet.

They saw the twins on the occasions where their parents were making Courtney's switch from the Preserve to the Radley. That would count the flag incident. Alison came back for that weekend in 7th grade because her parents thought she had been improving. When they saw Alison at the fire, she would recognize them but she couldn't allow herself to be seen so she had to get out of there. It's ironic because Alison is just as messed up as Courtney. When the girls mention 'Ali' it was actually Courtney. I'm still hazy on what the whole deal with Wilden was, but nobody was supposed to know about the twins and he was supposed to help keep her hidden. And Alison was so obsessed with getting the girls back for ruining her life. That's why she tried burning them, and making them crazy. Melissa knew Ali had a twin but few people did know. The people that did know were: Melissa, of course the DiLaurentis family, Wilden and Jenna. Ali's sibling problems, were of course her twin. Jenna knew about Courtney. And Melissa knew Ali had a psychotic sister, just probably not how psychotic.

WOW, I just finished reading too, but I have to wonder... when I think about it the Courtney (or Ali they were friends with in 7th grade) didn't seem to insane at all, but she was the one apparently who was in the institutions all those years. So it seems to me that they were both seriously insane, and Ali (or the real Courtney) maybe wasn't insane. Or maybe wasn't so insane, not as much as Ali who went psycho on them and tried to murder them. So I don't know, it's all weird/confusing when you think about it haha.

I kind of loved Wanted though. I would have been really disappointed if, like, Billy or someone had been the real killer. As weird as a whole evil twin scenario seems, it totally worked for the series.

Yeah ! I was pretty sure there was no way that Billy was the killer, it was too random and he was not even in most of the series. BUT, I definitely think Courtney was the "sane" and "nicer' twin. She just seemed like a manipulative bitch which isn't highly unusual for a teenage girl. But it makes me wonder if they had "switched" places more than one time..

OH MY GOD the end is SO weird I'm re-reading the entire book. Courtney is really Ali but Ali was Courtney. OHMYGOD!

I didn't expect that Alison killed Courtney I thought that Courtney killed Alison but wow Wanted was soo twisted

Okay, the real Ali was friend with Noami and that group. Courtney was in the institution. BUT at the flag capsule thing, when they had a fight, COURTNEY stormed out and Ali was mistaken for Courtney, and Courtney stole Ali's identity ( I think this was when they were transitioning her between two institutions). Then the rest the time that the girls were friends with "ali" it was really Courtney. Then later on, Ali as Courtney in the institution showed improvement, and she was allowed home on trial basis. That is when she had the opportunity to kill Courtney or "Ali".

I may have gotten the reasons for her being home backwards, but that is the gist.

Wow So When Spencer pushes Ali/Courtney into a stone and than she leaves Ali/Courtney all alone the real Ali comes and than she pushes her sister in the hall were Ali/Courtney was found cemented? and then she goes back to the institution or does she start's to live with her family?

She returns home and they think she's courtney, because Ali was supposedly at the sleepover with the girls. However, when the morning comes they learn Ali has disappeared. So Courtney goes back to an institution.

so i just finished Wanted. It came in the mail yesterday...

it turns out that Ali is really dead, even though it leads you to believe that she is still alive. Her parents release the info that she has a twin sister named Courtney at the end of the book. The person who was actually the PLL's best friend was Courtney. Courtney had some mental issues and she thinks that she is Ali, and the day that the 4 girls were in Ali's backyard for the time capsule flag, they were actually talking to Courtney in the backyard and Courtney played along, pretending to be Ali. At the same time, Ali was being taken to the mental hospital instead of Courtney because her parents didn't believe it was Ali when she told them because of the illness tat courtney has, always wanting to be Ali. So those entire 3 or 4 years, Courtney was the 4 girls' best friend, with the name Ali. Then, Courtney gets killed after leaving the barn. not Ali. Ali is away in a mental hospital, So at the beginning of the book when the twin is released, the twin is actually Ali, and Courtney is dead. nobody knows, though. and Ali persuades the 4 girls that she is the same person she was 4 years ago. it turns out that when Ali comes back from the mental hospital, she kills Courtney because of the misery she put her through by switiching places and making her go to the mental hospital. She also kills Jenna Cavanaugh, Ian, and attempts to kill the 4 girls and melissa at the very end.


ALI KILLS COURTNEY. courtney = the twin that acts like ali throughout the whole book.

Alright, so let me see if I've got this all straightened out, why certain people were killed and why others were so suspicious.

The DiLaurentis family had two daughters, twins, Alison and Courtney. Courtney had mental problems that required her to be in several facilities through her life, and maybe that caused her obsession with her sister, who was free and popular. When Courtney visited the day Aria, Spencer, Emily and Hanna decided to take Alison's flag piece, she stormed out of the house. This caused the four girls to mistake her for Alison. The real Alison was probably inside, still fuming. Perhaps later in that day, or week, Courtney found a way to pretend she was Alison, since her obsession would be mean she knew several quirks and habits. Alison, who was desperate to remain in her normal life, tried to assure her parents of her identity. Courtney was betting on this because she had already pretended to be her sister several times before.

Alison was taken to the Mental Hospital, while Courtney remained, pretending to be her. She subsequently leaves Ali's popular crowd, so that they wouldn't be suspicious. I know what you're thinking, they would have been since she left them. BUT, if Courtney wasn't entirely confident about pretending to be Ali, she would need a crowd of her own. Thats when she decided to use the girls who always tried to get Alisons attention. Obviously, there had to be more than just the 4 main girls, but she picked them and they soon became the best of friends.

Along the way, Courtney made 'mistakes' as she pretended to be Alison, probably revealing some of her psychotic tendencies (if she has them). The Jenna Thing, and kissing Ian. During the summer when the girls had the sleepover, 'Courtney' was released on good behavior for a visit but it was really Alison, who had been pretty much imprisoned in the mental hospital. She took photos of the girls during the sleepover to have evidence of Courtney's deceit, and later confronted her after Courtney argued with Spencer. Wanting her life back, she pushed her sister into the man-dug hole and buried her, causing the workers to later seal her by covering the hole in cement.

Unable to prove she was really Alison, she was sent back to the Mental Hospital. Alison was then said to be missing.

When Maya moves into the DiLaurentis old house, she begins moving some boxes of things out of Ali's room, removing her diary as well. This was found by Mona, who becomes 1-A (the First A). Along the way, Wilson had probably been hired by the DiLaurentis to keep Courtney's existence a secret, and then (perhaps bribed or blackmailed with his Amish past) to keep the DiLaurentis's mistake in the dark.

Mona goes on to torture the girls until she reveals, to Spencer, that she is A and that she found the diary. Having found that diary, she used its detailed secrets (Secrets written by Courtney) to make their lives hell for rejecting her friendship and making her feel uncomfortable when they were younger. She dies as she fights with Spencer, who refuses to be the 'new' A, or 2-A (as I label it to keep away confusion). Due to Mona having the diary, it is possible that she knew of Courtney's existence. If she had been alive after it is discovered she's A, she would have been targeted by Alison.

Mona dies (snapping her neck) and this is revealed through national television, probably reaching Alison in her mental hospital. Alison manages to escape when she hears news of this, and becomes the new A. She kills Ian, because it is possible that he knew the truth (due to Courtney's infatuation with him and vice versa). Jenna is killed because she had already known of Courtney's existence, and was meaning to tell the girls. Alison attempts to pin the blame on Wilson, Melissa and Billy so as to keep everyone confused and herself safe.

Perhaps someone else knew about A and attempted to lure A, along with the girls, to the woods at the back of Spencer's house to kill them, the girls catch a glimpse of Alison. Her family does as well, and she escapes. Later on, she comes in contact with her mother, so as to 'reconcile'. She attempts to exact her revenge by taking the girls to the barn house, hypnotizing them so they remembered what happened. She sets fire to the barn (or wherever the five girls were) on fire and trying to escape. The girls make it out alive, but believe that Alison was stuck with the fire and died.

In the end it is revealed that Courtney had died, and her DNA caused the Coroners to believe Alison was really dead, and Alison is probably still on the loose.

So.

Thats what happens.

so i don't remember what book was the last i read the last thing i remember is the girls getting lured down to spencers house which Ali tries to burn down but they get out and she gets stuck in it what book is that?
