The series has been broadcast on the Canadian French-language network V (known as TQS) in Quebec since March 9, 2009. The work was is produced by Avamar Entertainment, CBS Paramount Network Television, CTV and Pink Sky Entertainment.It was declared January 25, 2011 that Ion Television had acquired all rights to the show and to continue production in-house. The fourth season of Flashpoint premiered on July 8, 2011 on CTV, and a fifth season has been ordered. Sgt. Gregory Parker (Enrico Colantoni) leads the elite team on their missions. The show Flashpoint Seasons is based upon the experiences of the real life Toronto Police Emergency Task Force.
