Spencer adopted ?

Do you think Spencer is really adopted ? And who do you think her mother will be ? At first i thought she was secretly the sister of Alison . Cuz she also liked playing hockey and they both had blonde hair , and their birthday was in the same month ? What do you guys think ?

That's a good thought i just read the first 80 pages of killer at harperteen browse inside and there you can see spencer gets a mail from the site where she registred in wicked . Could this be her real mother ?

Spencer's mom also got mad when Spencer and the others acted like they were sisters ...Everyone has it's secrets in Rosewood even the parents .

the thought that Spencer could be adopted has made alot of things make sense, like how they favor Melissa over Spencer. Also, Melissa told Spencer in wicked (I think, it could be unbelievable) that she couldn't rember her mom being pregnant for 9 months, and spencer's grandmother only gave money to her natural-born grandchildren, hinting that Spencer was indeed adopted because she did not get any money. I think her aunt penelope is a VERY good assumption.

I have two theories:
Either Spencer is really her Aunts daughter like the other person said...
Or, Spencer and Alison are secretly sisters, like another person said, at first i didnt believe that theory because Jason was in LOVE with Melissa but if Spencer really isn't related to her "family" then it makes perfect sense! Because her mom would get mad when they would pretend to be long lost sisters!
Even if Spencer was adopted she was still stupid to want to live near Olivia (the girl who said she was her mom) because she only met her once and buying the house meant stealing from her family! Melissa could have a secret about this to...

Yeah I thought she was Ali's sister as well in the beginning and got really excited about it coz that would make sense.. I think it's going to be some one significant that affects the plot.. Though the Aunt Penelope thing sounds plausible..!!

But you have to remember that Spencer's parents couldve told the grandmother about the golden orchid thing grandmother takes Spencer out of her will Grandmother puts in "Natural Born Children." But Melissa was five when their mother had SPencer, and Melissa can't remeber her carrying Spencer

But it still keeps coming back to "natural born". Does that mean that Spencer was actually artificially implanted? Would that make her not "natural born"? I still think it's plausible that her aunt is actually her mother, but she'd still be a natural born grandchild. But what her grandmother is saying is that shes not actually part of the family, biologically that is. I think Sara Shepard was trying to convey that she was adopted, or something of the sort.

^ Oh wow, I just reread that and realized that my train of thought is very disorientating, sorry if that leads to any confusion!
